D’Escoto’s
service to various communist causes goes back decades.
An advocate of
Marxist-oriented “liberation theology” and recipient of a Lenin Peace Prize has
returned to his duties as a priest in the Roman Catholic Church, after a
29-year suspension.
Miguel
D’Escoto, who served as President of the U.N. General Assembly from September
2008 until September 2009, had been suspended from his priestly functions by
the anti-communist Pope John Paul II in 1985. D’Escoto had joined the communist
Sandinista regime in Nicaragua as foreign minister, after which the Soviets
recognized his service by giving him the International Lenin Peace Prize.
His reinstatement is
another sign of the leftward drift of the papacy of Pope Francis, a worldwide media
favorite, who recently said, “I can only say that the
communists have stolen our flag” because the Marxists claim to be concerned
about the poor.
In a “Dear Brother
President Barack Obama” letter, dated August 25, 2013, D’Escoto declared that U.S.
foreign policy was being guided by Satan and constituted “terrorist, murderous
and genocidal U.S. imperialism.” He urged Obama to have “the courage to
acknowledge also that capitalism is, in fact, the most un-Christian doctrine
and practice ever devised by man to keep us separate and unequal in a kind of
global apartheid.”

his complete reintegration into the Roman Catholic Church, carried by Christian News Wire, said, “The Holy Father
has given His benevolent assent that Father Miguel D’Escoto Brockmann be
absolved from the canonical censure inflicted upon him, and entrusts him to the
Superior General of the Institute [Maryknoll] for the purpose of accompanying
him in the process of reintegration into the Ministerial Priesthood.”

humo se disperse por fin en Gaza, las Naciones Unidas van a tener que dar
explicaciones sobre los informes de cohetes almacenados en las instalaciones de
la ONU y los suministros de la ONU en túneles de Hamas.

the House should sue Obama

The Constitution states
that it's Congress' job to make the laws and the president's to faithfully
execute them. It does not permit a president to suspend a law or grant special
dispensations from its requirements. But President Obama has done just these
things and only the federal courts can preserve the constitutionally mandated
separation of powers by rebuffing his illegal actions.
Separation-of-powers
lawsuits are generally straightforward: A private party, injured by some
unconstitutional government action, sues for relief. When a president suspends
a law, however, private parties often lack “standing” to sue, because the act
of not enforcing a statute doesn't injure them in any individualized way.
But such suspensions
undoubtedly injure Congress. By arrogating to himself a power to rewrite laws,
a president infringes on Congress' lawmaking prerogatives. A suspension
nullifies the law suspended and diminishes Congress' power. Such acts trigger a
genuine constitutional crisis. Federal courts are well equipped to resolve such
crises.
Last month, the House Rules
Committee approved a resolution authorizing a lawsuit challenging Obama's
Affordable Care Act suspensions. Skeptics of the lawsuit, authorized by the
full House last week, argue that such congressional lawsuits usually fail
because of a lack of standing. To assert an institutional injury, courts want
proof that the House or Senate believes it has been injured.
When
legislators represent their institution's views, courts have granted standing.
In 1939's Coleman v. Miller, the Supreme Court granted standing to 21
Kansas senators who had sued the state's lieutenant governor over his
tiebreaking vote in support of a constitutional amendment. The court agreed
that the Senate had suffered an institutional injury.
A few
days ago, in Kerr v. Hickenlooper, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th
Circuit held that five Democrat Colorado legislators had standing on facts far
less compelling than those of the House lawsuit. The legislators challenged
their governor's execution of a state constitutional amendment, asserting that
the amendment nullified their power to raise taxes. Standing was granted
despite the absence of explicit institutional authorization for the lawsuit by
their colleagues.
In
numerous other cases, federal courts have recognized a single chamber's
standing to assert institutional injury caused by the executive's refusal to
comply with congressional subpoenas. As the Supreme Court made clear in Eastland
v. U.S. Servicemen's Fund in 1975, subpoenas are “inherent in the power to
make laws.” A failure to comply with a chamber's subpoena is an injury to the
lawmaking power of the chamber. The institutional injury caused by executive
nullification of a subpoena is far less than that caused by executive
nullification of a law. If ignoring a congressional subpoena is sufficient to
establish legislative standing, ignoring a law should be more than sufficient.
The House lawsuit isn't
frivolous. Precedent fully recognizes legislative standing to vindicate the
nullification injury inherent in a president's suspension of law. And while
impeachment and cutting appropriations are useful political options, neither
can force the faithful execution of the law. For a tailored legal declaration
of the proper dividing line between Congress and the president, courts, and
courts alone, are the appropriate venue.

SAMITIER: Even Washington Post Fears Barack Obama Dictatorship
When the mainstream media starts warning us against a Barack Obama
dictatorship, we have reason to be concerned. I argued that the
Supreme Court’s consensus demonstrated that the President was a radical.
Now I can augment my argument. The Washington Post also
demonstrates the same thing.
Of course, they try to
cover themselves by attacking Congressional Republicans and demanding
“immigration reform.”
The president’s frustration is understandable. Faced
with a genuine humanitarian crisis, Congress’s failure to pass a workable fix
is unconscionable. In the Republican-controlled House, the GOP bowed to its
most extreme lawmakers in passing measures that have zero chance of
becoming law — and would have paved the way for deportations of blameless young
people raised in this country after being brought here by their undocumented
parents. In the Senate, the intransigence of both parties yielded no bill at
all.
Obstinate, hopelessly partisan and incapable of
problem-solving, Congress is a mess.
It is a wicked lie to hold up
Congress and the President and accuse only Congress of being “obstinate” and
“hopelessly partisan.”
But Barack Obama’s
privileged place with the media seems to weaken after that point.
…that doesn’t grant the president license to tear up
the Constitution. As Mr. Obama himself said last fall: “If, in fact, I
could solve all these problems without passing laws in Congress, then I would
do so. But we’re also a nation of laws.” To act on his own, the president
said, would violate those laws.
Mr. Obama now seems to be jettisoning that stance in
the name of rallying his political base. He is considering extending temporary
protection from deportation to millions of illegal immigrants, including the
parents of U.S.-born children and others who have lived in the United States
for years. Conceivably, this would give Democrats a political boost in 2016.
Just as conceivably, it would trigger a constitutional showdown with
congressional Republicans, who could make a cogent argument that Mr. Obama had
overstepped his authority.
The president should think twice. Some of the same
Democrats and pro-immigrant advocates urging him to protect millions of
undocumented immigrants from deportation would be outraged if a Republican
president took a similarly selective approach to enforcing the laws — say,
those that guarantee voting rights or prohibit EMPLOYMENT DISCRIMINATION. Mr.
Obama’s instincts — “we’re also a nation of laws” — were and remain correct.

the Washington Post believes Congress is willing to engage in any kind of
showdown with Barack Obama. But I welcome their enthusiasm for the

Empathy or Shrewdness?
"Empathy" es la capacidad de compartir o reconocer las emociones
que están siendo experimentadas por otros.
"Shrewdness", a
shrewd politician, es un político malicioso, astuto o
aguzado.
El episodio cómico que pueden ver en el enlace que envío arriba, enseña
la versión de Richard Pryor del primer presidente negro. Esto fue hecho 32 años

La actualidad y similitud con el verdadero primer presidente negro es
asombrosa.
Una virtud que al principio atribuyeron a Obama fue lo que los
americanos llaman "empathy" que es la virtud de reconocer y compartir
las emociones que están siendo experimentadas por otros, o sea que todos
sienten que él siente como nosotros.
Pero hemos visto que esta habilidad de Obama no es realmente

(R-SC) really delivered when he took a stand to uplift the House members, reminding them of the purpose in their roles as leaders.
Gowdy also discussed
Obama’s role as President of the United States, describing the way he has
managed the duties and powers entrusted to him.
His speech is nothing
short of thought-provoking.
“I want us to talk as colleagues, because our foundational document gave
us as the House unique powers and responsibilities. We run every two years
because they intended for us to be closest to the people. The President was
given different duties and powers. The President was given the duty to take
care that the laws be faithfully executed, so my question, Mr. Speaker, is what
does that mean to you?”
“We know the President can veto a bill for any reason or for no reason,”
he continued. “We know the President can refuse to defend the constitutionality
of a statute – even one that he signs into law. We know the President can issue
pardons for violations of the very laws that we pass, and we know that the
President has prosecutorial discretion as evidenced and used through his U.S. ATTORNEYS.

Mr. Speaker, that is a lot of power. What are we to do when that amount
of power is not enough? What are we to do when this president, or any
president, decides to selectively enforce a portion of a law and ignore other
portions of that law? What do we do, Mr. Speaker, regardless of motivation,
when a president nullifies our vote by failing to faithfully execute the law?”
“You know, in the oath that brand-new citizens take, it CONTAINS six different references to ‘the law.’ If it’s good enough for us to ask

In a recent interview, former Arkansas Gov. Mike
Huckabee weighed in on the possibility of impeaching Barack Obama. He told radio
host Steve Deace that while he “absolutely” believes such a result is
warranted, he does not believe a Democrat-controlled Senate would ever allow
the process to gain traction.
“There’s
no doubt that he’s done plenty of things worthy of impeachment,” Huckabee
affirmed. “Now the fact is, we don’t have the Senate, so even if you impeached
him in the House and it went to trial in the Senate, it would never even get to
the FLOOR because [Majority
Leader] Harry Reid has been sitting on 357 pieces of legislation passed by the
House Republicans.”

While Huckabee, often included in lists of potential GOP presidential
hopefuls in the 2016 election season, took a realistic view on the issue, it is
clear he wants to see Obama held accountable for his unconstitutional actions
as president.

number of things that this president has done in the overuse of executive power
– his complete ignoring of the law.”
Specifically, Huckabee cited Obama’s convoluted response to his troubled HEALTHCARE law as evidence that he deserves to be impeached.

“Por favor y corríjame si me equivoco, pero entiendo que la mayoría de Imanes y clérigos del Islam han declarado la Yihad (guerra santa) contra los infieles del mundo. De modo que matando a un infiel (que es una orden para todos los musulmanes) tienen asegurado un lugar en el cielo. Si así fuera el caso… ¿Puede usted darme una definición de infiel? ”
Sin discutir mis palabras contestó con seguridad:
“Son los no creyentes”.
A lo cual contesté:
“Permítame asegurarme que le entendí bien. ¿A todos los seguidores de ALÁ se les ha ordenado matar a todo el que no profese su fe para poder ir al cielo? ¿Correcto?

la libertad de prensa como la libertad de tránsito simplemente son
dos de los muchos derechos muy controlados en suelo
cubano.Pero sin ir más lejos, aún tengo presente la rimbombante
