It called for border crossings to Gaza to “be opened,” with the movement of people and goods to be “facilitated once the security situation becomes stable on the ground.” Within 48 hours of the initial cease-fire taking hold, talks are to be held in Cairo with the Israelis and the Palestinian militant factions on conditions for a longer-term truce, according to the text of the proposal. Hamas, which had said it was prepared to fire rockets indefinitely, has appeared to want better terms. Sami Abu Zuhri, a Hamas official in Gaza, wrote on his Facebook page Monday: “The responses of resistance will continue until the demands of our people are achieved. In an effort to combat the continuing attacks from Palestinian enemies, Israel’s army conducted a mission last week consisting of ground troops and air strikes that left at least 160 dead. “The indiscriminate rocket attacks from Gaza on Israel are terrorist acts for which there is no justification,” he said in a recent statement. The Canadian Press reports he went on to affirm that Hamas is “deliberately using human shields” as the terror group escalates violence in the region. Harper called on other nations to join him in coming to Israel’s defense. “Failure by the international community to condemn these reprehensible actions would encourage these terrorists to continue their appalling actions,” he said. “Canada calls on its allies and partners to recognize that these terrorist acts are unacceptable and that solidarity with Israel is the best way of stopping the conflict.” Harper called on Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to disarm Hamas terrorists in the pursuit of some semblance of peace in the embattled region. Abbas, however, has recently gone to the United Nations to seek protection for his people. In a recent request to U.N. Secretary General Bank Ki-moon, he complained that the “situation has become unbearable,” citing “hundreds of martyrs and thousands of wounded and huge destruction” in the Gaza Strip. Ki-moon ultimately urged a ceasefire in the region in light of Palestinian deaths last week. Barack Obama weighed in on the matter as well. TODD WOOD — JULY 14, 2014 The list is long and distinguished.  The United Kingdom, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Israel, and now Germany have all had the pleasure of being betrayed or disrespected by the Obama administration.  What do these countries have in common?  They are, or were, some of our strongest allies in the world against the enemies of the United States. In the latest rebuke of Obama’s foreign policy, Germany expelled the CIA station chief in a rare, public display of unhappiness with our Dear Leader and his style of dealing with foreign governments.  It seems in addition to listening to Merkel’s cell phone, several other American spies had been apprehended looking where they shouldn’t have. There is a real clamor now domestically for Germany to have an even hand when dealing with Russia or the United States. Germany is an economic powerhouse and is being courted heavily by Moscow.  The incompetence of the Obama administration is nothing short of shocking in this case–but sadly, par for the course. Most people have heard of the animosity displayed by Obama early on in dealings with the United Kingdom.  The most visible evidence of this disrespect was the returning of the bust of Winston Churchill to the U.K.  The bust had sat in the Oval Office as a symbol of the “special relationship” between the two countries and their shared sacrifice in defeating the Nazi juggernaut in World War II. First the Obama administration tried to lie and say the bust was not returned.  However, it was found that they were speaking of another statue in the White House.  The one that sat in the Oval Office was returned in an extreme act of rudeness by our president. Our strongest ally in the Middle East and the only real democracy for Arabs or Jews in the region, Israel, can no longer count on the United States to watch its back against the array of Arab nations that are lined up to destroy her.  The Palestinian Authority has aligned with Hamas, a designated terrorist organization; and the Obama administration continues to send billions of our taxpayer dollars to fund the radicals who are launching hundreds of rockets into Israel on a daily basis.  Obama publicly disrespected the Israeli Prime Minister while talking to the French President at a public event. Iran is being allowed to develop a nuclear weapons capability.  This the same Islamic state that has repeatedly stated a desire to destroy the nation of Israel.  Israel will have no choice but to respond militarily in-kind at some point.  Saudi Arabia refused to fill its seat on the U.N. Security Council in protest against the actions of the Obama administration concerning the Iranian nuclear weapons issue and the refusal of Obama to arm the forces arrayed against Assad in Syria, an Iranian proxy. Poland was shocked several years ago when the Obama administration cancelled the missile defense system installation on Polish territory that was intended to protect Europe from an Iranian missile launch.  The effort was engineered by the Bush administration and was really disliked by the Kremlin in Moscow.  We all know how the “reset” with Russia has worked out.   The Polish government had spent considerable political capital to get the site approved domestically and felt betrayed by Obama’s action. One can only wonder if this is an orchestrated effort to loosen ties developed over the decades with friends around the world.  Will America’s allies come to our aid in time of need?  Unfortunately, this is a real question with this administration in power.  Our allies are right to be concerned and angry. From unsatisfying meals to increased costs, districts across the U.S. are trying to escape the strict regulations contained in the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act implemented at the beginning of the month. At one South Carolina school, however, the restrictions are having a direct impact not only on the morale of students but on the ability of its special needs population to engage in stimulating activities. According to the Myrtle Beach Sun News, Socastee High School is now forced to forego the sale of Chick-fil-A sandwiches in the school because they contain a few more calories than the new law allows. “They don’t meet the standards,” Principal Paul Browning said. “We’re struggling with it.” The chicken sandwiches were obvious draws for students with a desire for something different. More importantly, funds raised from their sale went toward special outings for the school’s special education department. “It’s going to be tough for a lot of us,” he said. “We will take a hit, but we’ll adjust. It’s going to make us be even more creative.” Horry County Schools spokesperson Teal Harding noted that the sandwiches are not the only casualty of the first lady’s activism. “The district is working on information for schools on how to ensure compliance with nutritional regulations for school celebrations, fundraisers and special events,” she explained. Reports indicate that any food sold between midnight and 30 minutes after school ends on a school day are subject to these mandates. Chick-fil-A sandwiches contain 440 calories, 90 more than the new regulations allow for entrée items. The sodium content also exceeds the maximum. La llamada comienza por preguntarle a los residentes por las distintas campañas políticas, embaucando al participante con preguntas sobre este u otro candidato para finalmente caer en la cuestión del bono para “salvar a Cielito Lindo”.

El viejo edificio ha sido tema de otros artículos de nelsonhortareporta.com, fue el 29 de enero pasado que alertamos a los residentes de Miami Dade con un articulo titulado, “Corre peligro el edificio de las cortes, “Cielito Lindo” y decíamos:

“Alarmante la situación del viejo edificio de la Corte ubicado en el 73 de la calle Flagler en el down town de la ciudad.

Según las fuentes que contactaron a nelsonhortareporta.com, “pudiera derrumbarse partes del edificio si no se hacen las reparaciones que un estudio recomendó en los últimos días”.

El viejo edificio conocido como “Cielito Lindo” fue construido en el años 1925, el 4 de enero de 1989  se añadió al Registro Nacional de Estados Unidos como uno de los lugares históricos. Cuando fue construido con 360 con 28 pisos era considerado el edificio más alto en Miami y de toda la Florida”.

Sin embargo el estudio de ingeniería hecho por G.M. Selvy, también indica que “sobre el actual uso y ocupación del edificio, no se tenía una preocupación inmediata de colapso o fallo basado en las observaciones visuales”, dicen.

Ahora esta llamada le está solicitando a los contribuyentes el apoyo para una emisión de bonos por $700 millones de dólares  en lo que llaman “Bonos de obligación general”, para la reconstrucción de Cielito Lindo y Centros Penitenciarios además de la construcción de 3 nuevos edificios de Tribunales y otras cárceles.

En la misma llamada se le dice al entrevistado que esta emisión de bonos seria pagada con un aumento de un 16% por cada $100 mil dólares en el amillaramiento.

Sin embargo esto tendría que ser llevado a referendo y “estamos seguro que eso no pasara”, nos dijeron anoche dos comisionados de Miami Dade.

Regresando a la remodelación de Cielito Lindo, de acuerdo con los ingenieros de G.M. Public schools across the nation are reeling from the costly and unappetizing meal choices that have resulted from Michelle Obama’s campaign to fight childhood obesity. Under her direction, the federal government has implemented a number of strict restrictions regarding the nutrition contents of foods served in school cafeterias.

Administrators are increasingly fighting these regulations, with many districts looking to Congress for a way to opt out of the program. For their part, Republicans in the U.S. House have proposed legislation allowing schools that can prove the regulations are cost-prohibitive to bypass the first lady’s pet project.

One school board president in Wisconsin recently weighed in on the restrictions, taking a few jabs at Michelle Obama in the process.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Muskego-Norway School District Board President Rick Petfalski wants the freedom to decide what is best for local students instead of receiving mandates from D.C.

“We believe that proper food nutrition and meal portion guidelines are best decided at a local level,” he maintained.

He is reportedly willing to forego federal funding for the opportunity to provide meals kids in his district are actually willing to eat. Under the existing guidelines, he noted that the district’s food service program was set to reach a funding shortfall of $54,000 – primarily based on sluggish sales of the unpopular meals.

If his district shuns the federal mandates, however, he said the department could actually reach a surplus of more than $7,000.

“By leaving the program we will not be required to follow these onerous guidelines,” he explained, “pushed by and large by Michelle Obama who, last time I checked, has been elected by no one.”

The Journal Sentinel noted that other area districts are making similar decisions.

Central High School District of Westosha Administrator Scott Pierce said that adherence to the program had his district on track for an $80,000 deficit. He just wants the opportunity to employ a private vendor – which has already been secured – to provide healthy, tasty food for local students.

“We’re not trying to fatten up our kids,” he asserted. “We’re trying to give them food they like.”

Waterford Graded School District Superintendent Christopher Joch reported that the mandates led to significant waste, adding that parents in his district were outspoken critics of the program.

“The food ended up in the garbage instead of the kids’ mouths,” he recalled.

5- EL CONGRESO PUEDE ADQUIRIR SU PLAN DE RETIRO IGUAL QUE CUALQUIER OTRO CIUDADANO AMERICANO
6- EL CONGRESO NO PODRA VOTAR YA MAS PARA AUMENTARSE A SI MISMO EL SUELDO. Y EL AUMENTO SERA IGUAL A UN 3%
7- EL CONGRESO PERDERA SU SISTEMA DE SEGURO DE SALUD ACTUAL Y PARTICIPARA DEL MISMO SISTEMA DE SEGURO DE SALUD QUE EL PUEBLO AMERICANO.
8- EL CONGRESO ESTARA SUJETO A LAS MISMAS LEYES QUE ELLOS IMPONEN AL PUEBLO AMERICANO.
9- TODOS LOS CONTRATOS QUE SE HAYAN HECHO CON LOS/LAS CONGRESISTAS EN EL PASADO Y EN EL PRESENTE QUEDAN SIN EFECTO A PARTIR DE 12/1/12. EL PUEBLO NO HIZO ESTOS CONTRATOS CON LOS CONGRESISTAS
