Fox News Targeted In ‘Shutdown’ Campaign

These racists have their lies front and center.
Check it out:
The Occupy movement and other leftist groups are attempting to use the anti-cop furor for a “die-in” and “shutdown” protest targeting Fox News and the New York Post.
The demonstration is scheduled for Jan. 2 at New Corporation’s Midtown Manhattan headquarters, with invitations posted at Occupy-affiliated Facebook pages.
The invitation reads: “As many already know The NY POST is a newspaper that is owned and controlled by the Right Winger Rupert Murdoch, who in essence is a corporate racist that continually supports and disseminates racist, classist, sexist and all forms of pro 1% misinformation through his NY POST newspaper as well as FOX television.”
“This Die-In Shutdown and Boycott is but the first part of a larger upcoming campaign for justice … to expose the racist lies and bias of mass media starting with but NOT limited to the NY POST!”
A “die-in” is a protest in which demonstrators, usually holding placards, lie on the ground and pretend to be dead. In this case, the demonstration is meant to protest the deaths of African-Americans Eric Garner and Michael Brown, both of whom were killed by police officers.
Occupy was one of the main sponsors of the protests this week aimed at shutting down Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue shopping district ahead of Christmas.

Amenper: El PUENTE DEL OLVIDO

Video Shows Why You Should be Armed in Your Vehicle  Bob Allen

When you are armed, you have another option besides begging for help over 911.
What would you do if a vehicle was pursuing you, attempting to force you off the road, flashing a badge and purporting to be an officer, and actually made contact with your vehicle?
With apologies for the language—this is a real-life situation of total panic for two young ladies who met up with a crazy woman on California’s Highway 80.
[Editor’s note: Bob is not kidding. Though we want this blog to be generally family friendly as much as possible and safe for work, this is a real life situation where people used bad language in their panic.]
Talk to your young people about what to do in such a situation. NEVER pull over for an unmarked car in a rural location
I’m impressed with how calm and rational the passenger is—giving really good, on-the-fly counsel to the driver—until they reach the California Highway Patrol officer… and then she finally loses it.
Deirdre Orozco was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, two counts of false imprisonment, unlawful use of a badge, reckless driving, and resisting arrest. Since she resisted a true law enforcement officer, imagine what she might have done had the young ladies not made it to the officer’s location.
According to WPTV:
She was held in lieu of $250,000 bail and was due back in court Friday after pleading not guilty to multiple charges from two incidents days apart. A public defender was to be appointed to represent her.
Roseville police said Orozco also had been arrested three days earlier but was freed while prosecutors weighed charges from that incident.
Police say a woman identified as Orozco first hit a driver at a Roseville intersection, then continued on to a relative’s house. There she threw large rocks through a window while threatening the residents, said police spokeswoman Dee Dee Gunther.
Orozco is charged in that incident with assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats, vandalism, reckless driving, and hit-and-run.
Another reason to be thankful for States that still recognize the Second Amendment. My guess is Ms. Orozco would have been more hesitant to pull this insanity around here in Tennessee.
“Ms. Orozco, meet Mr. Glock… now slowly get on the ground until an officer arrives, because I’m rightly fearing for my life right now, and my trigger-finger is shaking.”

Obama Contradicts Polls, Says Racial Divisions Reduced

By Cathy Burke
The nation is less racially divided today than it was six years ago, President Barack Obama says.
In an excerpt from a 40-minute interview the president gave
National Public Radio on Dec. 18, which was made available Friday, Obama asserted that low morale about race relations is exaggerated by the reactions across the country to recent racially charged violence, including the deaths of unarmed black men at the hands of police and the revenge slayings of two New York City Police Department officers.
Asked whether there's more racial division now than when he took office in 2009, Obama replied, "No," NPR reports.

"I actually think that it's probably, in its day-to-day interactions, less racially divided," he declared.

The full interview will be made available Monday, NPR said.

The president's assertion, however, appears to contradict what recent polls have found.

Fifty-three percent of Americans think race relations have worsened under Obama, compared with 36 percent who say they have stayed the same and 9 percent who say they have improved, a
Bloomberg Politics poll found earlier this month.

A more recent survey, by
CNN/ORC, found white Americans more likely to believe the criminal justice system is colorblind than nonwhites, with 57 percent of whites saying there's little or no prejudice by police against blacks but only 25 percent of nonwhites holding that view.
The president's optimism on race relations came just a day after first lady Michelle Obama and the president detailed the racial prejudice they'd experienced in their lives.

"I think people forget that we've lived in the White House for six years," the first lady told
People magazine.

"Before that, Barack Obama was a black man that lived on the south side of Chicago, who had his share of troubles catching cabs."

Added the president: "There's no black male my age, who's a professional, who hasn't come out of a restaurant and is waiting for their car and somebody didn't hand them their car keys."

Amnesty Order's Price Tag: $48 Million a Year and Climbing

By John Blosser
The high cost of President Barack Obama's executive action in granting amnesty from deportation for as many as 5 million illegal aliens is beginning to be revealed — for openers, 1,000 new federal employees to process them, at $40 million in salaries per year, and a newly signed $7.8 million annual lease for office space in a new building in Crystal City, Virginia.
The Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is hiring people for jobs ranging in salary up to $157,000 a year,
Fox News Latino reported.
The Washington Times noted that hiring for the new positions was posted just 10 days after Nov. 20, when Obama announced his unilateral executive action, indicating that plans for the hiring were well in place before the announcement.
Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Alabama, reacted with anger, stating the new office building and hiring are "a clear symbol of the president’s defiance of the American people, their laws and their Constitution," The Washington Post reported.
Sessions added that Obama is "hiring federal employees to carry out a directive that violates the laws Congress has passed in order to foist on the nation laws Congress has repeatedly refused to pass," the Post said.

However, because up to 95 percent of USCIS funding comes from fees immigrants pay, the Post noted that Congress likely will not be able to override the expenditures by cutting off funding when a Republican majority takes over in January.
In an internal email to employees, the USCIS stated it was "taking steps to open a new operational center in Crystal City, a neighborhood in Arlington, Virginia, to accommodate about 1,000 full-time, permanent federal and contract employees in a variety of positions and grade levels.
"The initial workload will include cases filed as a result of the executive actions on immigration announced on Nov. 20, 2014," the Times reported.
While Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said he considers the possibility of fraud in applications to "have the potential to undermine the whole process," only seven out of the 1,000 new jobs are slated for the USCIS fraud detection unit, the Times reported.
Michael R. Strain, American Enterprise Institute economist, told
The New York Times,"It’s very easy to focus on the benefits. Those are usually the motivating impulse behind the action. But there are costs to it as well.
"One thousand new workers springing up in Arlington, Va. — it's a nice example of the degree to which when the government does something big, it has a lot of consequences that people don’t think of. Our public debate and our political leaders need to do a better job of identifying those effects."
"This is going to be the crux of the fight," Elaine Kamarck of the Brookings Institution told the Times. "It really goes to what is the extent of executive authority to make policy and then implement policy."

A Group Of Angry Liberals Is About To Try And Shut Down Fox News

“...the first part of a larger upcoming campaign..." B. CHRISTOPHER AGEE

According to a recent WND report, a number of protest groups are planning a disruptive demonstration at the headquarters of Fox News Channel and the New York Post, two media outlets under the umbrella of Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp.
An online invitation to the “shutdown” event describes Murdoch as a “corporate racist” who “supports and disseminates racist, classist, sexist … misinformation” through the aforementioned organizations.
The organizers of this so-called “die-in shutdown and boycott” seem to consider the Post their most immediate foe, though they also mention other targets of the protest – Fox, specifically. The newspaper is being singled out for its ostensible “continued bias, racist untruths and misrepresentation of the facts of the Garner and most other cases of police brutality and murder of civilians in this city.”
Eric Garner died of a heart attack after being detained by New York City police who suspected him of illegally selling cigarettes.
Being presented as part of the ongoing protests held nationwide in response to cases of perceived police brutality against blacks, the Jan. 2 event is described as “the first part of a larger upcoming campaign for justice” and includes a list of “immediate demands.”
Those demands include the dismissal of NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo, prosecutor Daniel Donavon, and NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton, a payment to Garner’s family, increased review of police action, the addition of an independent prosecutor to review all future cases, and the curtailment of arrests for infractions such as marijuana possession.
A Facebook invitation further demonizes the supposed “primitive, reactionary and backward view and propaganda of those rising up in Ferguson and New York City are somehow responsible for the murder of 2 police officers in Brookln [sic]” last weekend.
So far, fewer than 1,000 individuals of the more than 4,000 invited have expressed their intention to take part in the protest, which is being organized in part by the Occupy movement. A list of future protests and demonstrations is also listed in the social media posting.Read more at http://www.westernjournalism.com/protesters-set-shut-fox-news-next-week/#EA0miGoBwi3KO45w.99

The Times People Called For Obama’s Impeachment In 2014

...multiple prominent figures in the conservative movement... F. PETER BROWN

Obama’s impeachment was called for by multiple prominent figures in the conservative movement during 2014. Here’s a list of some of the biggest names:
1) Former Alaska governor and Tea Party favorite Sarah Palin defended an Obama impeachment in a column on Breitbart in July 2014. Palin pointed to the current immigration crisis as the primary reason to impeach Obama. She compared Obama to an abusive husband and said that it was time for his wife, the American people, to say, “No more.”
2) Former Senate candidate Joe Miller echoed Palin’s call for impeachment, saying that “Sarah Palin is right; it’s time to impeach this President for dereliction of duty, selectively enforcing the law, and usurping powers that the Constitution does not authorize. He is willfully undermining the rule of law and creating chaos.”
3) Former Congressman and then-Congressional candidate Bob Barr called for an Obama impeachment.
4) Congressman Steve Stockman said, after walking out of Obama’s State of the Union address, “Even worse, Obama has openly vowed to break his oath of office and begin enacting his own brand of law through executive decree. This is a wholesale violation of his oath of office and a disqualifying offense.”
5) Judge Andrew Napolitano called Obama a “candidate for impeachment,” and said that, if Obama pursues executive amnesty, Americans have “very little recourse” other than impeachment.
What do you think? Given Obama’s executive amnesty and disregard of the rule of law, is it time for impeachment? Do Republicans have any excuse not to pursue it, given the new influx of Republicans in Congress? North Korea Blames U.S. For Internet Outage, Calls Obama A “Monkey”

Deadline.com
By The Deadline
More harsh rhetoric from Pyongyang tonight as the North Korean government pins blame for that country’s Internet shutdown on the U.S., the Associated Press reports. The state-run Korean Central News Agency said that a spokesman for the Policy Department of the National Defense Commission, North Korea’s top military body led by Kim Jong-un, said in statement, “Obama always goes reckless in words and deeds like a monkey in a tropical forest.” The rep also blamed the White House for the sporadic Internet shutdown that has hit North Korea this week, in the wake of President Obamapromising the U.S. “will respond proportionally” to the cyber attack on Sony Pictures last month. “The U.S., a big country, started disturbing the Internet operation of major media of the DPRK, not knowing shame like children playing a tag,” the spokesman said, also threatening consequences. The White House has not commented on the latest salvo in the war of words.
This isn’t the first threat to the U.S. from National Defense Commission. It’s the same entity that said last week North Korea would attack “the White House, the Pentagon and the whole U.S. mainland” is Obama followed through on a response to the Sony hack, which the FBI blames on North Korea. The government is peeved about Sony’s comedy The Interview, in which Kim is assassinated by a bumbling talk-show producer (Seth Rogen) and host (James Franco). The Kim-led group said December 21 it has “clear evidence that the U.S. administration was deeply involved in the making of such dishonest reactionary movie” and that it has “already launched the toughest counteraction. Our target is all the citadels of the U.S. imperialists who earned the bitterest grudge of all Koreans. Whoever challenges justice by toeing the line of the biggest criminal U.S. will never be able to escape merciless punishment.”
