States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an
establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of
religion, abridging the freedom
of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably
assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances. It was
adopted on December 15, 1791, as one of the ten amendments that constitute the Bill of
Rights.
The
Bill of Rights was originally proposed as a measure to assuage Anti-Federalist opposition
to Constitutional ratification. Initially, the First Amendment applied only to
laws enacted by the Congress, and many
of its provisions were interpreted more narrowly than they are today. Beginning
with Gitlow v. New York (1925),
the Supreme
Court applied the First Amendment to states—a process known as incorporation—through
the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.
In Everson v.
Board of Education (1947), the Court drew on Founding
Father Thomas Jefferson's correspondence to call for "a wall
of separation between church and State", though the precise boundary of
this separation remains in dispute. Speech rights were expanded significantly
in a series of 20th and 21st-century court decisions which protected various
forms of political speech, anonymous speech, campaign financing, pornography,
and school speech; these rulings also defined a series ofexceptions
to First Amendment protections. The Supreme Court overturned English common law precedent
to increase the burden of proof for defamation and libel suits, most notably in New York
Times Co. v. Sullivan (1964). Commercial speech, however, is less protected by
the First Amendment than political speech, and is therefore subject to greater
regulation.
The
Free Press Clause protects publication of information and opinions, and applies
to a wide variety of media. In Near v. Minnesota (1931) and New York
Times v. United States (1971), the Supreme Court ruled that the First Amendment
protected against prior restraint—pre-publication censorship—in almost all
cases. The Petition Clause protects the right to petition all branches and
agencies of government for action. In addition to the right of assembly
guaranteed by this clause, the Court has also ruled that the amendment
implicitly protects freedom of
association.

Vivimos

lo que le dé la gana en las negociaciones del tratado de comercio TPP. Vimos la
abolición de las banderas Confederadas, terminando con el anuncio
presidencial de restablecer relaciones con Cuba comunista.
De
hecho la transformación fundamental que se había previsto está en
marcha de una manera acelerada, ¿querían “cambio”?...., bueno, “habemus novum”
como en la elección papal ya está saliendo humo blanco de la chimenea de la
Casa Blanca, que ya no es tan blanca.
En una
nota discordante José Fernández ganó el juego con los gigantes de San Francisco
y hasta bateó un Jonrón. Gracias José, por aliviar la semana.
Pero la
semana tiene siete días y nos quedan el viernes, incluyendo el sábado cuatro de
Julio, donde los devotos de la religión del Islam nos prometen unos fuegos
artificiales especiales.
La
semana pasará, es una semana que vivirá en la infamia, pero lo peor es que nos
quedan 72 semanas restantes en el mandato del segundo Reich,
digo, del segundo término de Obama. Podemos esperar más
redistribución de la riqueza. De hecho empezaremos la próxima semana, Obama
establecerá ampliar el pago de horas extras para millones de trabajadores,
anunciará un cambio transcendental en la ley de pago de horas extras de la
nación, ampliando considerablemente el número de personas que se califican para
pagar aumento después de trabajar más de 40 horas a la semana. Claro que con
esta medida demagógica aumentará los despidos y el desempleo, pero la imagen de
la benevolencia es para Obama mejor que la substancia.
Quizás
veremos la adopción del Peso o el Euro como moneda de Estados Unidos, o la
aplicación de las maravillosas políticas económicas griegas, tal vez la
sustitución del beisbol que es un deporte que se identifica con el imperialismo
americano con el balompié u otro deporte de países que representen más a la
filosofía socialista como un maratón de desfiles el primero de Mayo.
Finalmente
antes de pasar la batuta a Hillary hay planes de aceptación de la religión de
la paz como iglesia nacional (que traerá la ley sharia como un bono) y como una
medida para joder un poco más a los americanos se establecerá
completamente el sistema métrico decimal.
Hay
también la sugerencia de Jesse Jackson de establecer la jerga Jive de los
afroamericanos como el idioma oficial. Pero eso sería bueno hasta
cierto punto, porque podríamos decirle a Obama “U is bad bro” que más o menos
literalmente pudiera decir que es malo, pero en la jerga quiere decir que es
bueno y no pueden censurarnos.
Nos
queda todavía mucho que ver.

Religión está considerado como algo bueno generalmente, una persona
religiosa es una buena persona que trata de complacer y servir a Dios. ¿Es esto
algo bueno?
Bueno todo depende, el problema es que Dios es Dios y las
instituciones religiosas son cosas de los hombres. Estamos en el
siglo XXI, y sin lugar a dudas estamos con la espada de Damocles de una tercera
guerra mundial, y esta tercera guerra mundial tiene como vértice al medio
oriente, con características definidas de tres religiones básicas con
ramificaciones doctrinales que impulsan la necesidad de matar a todos lo que no
reconozcan su concepto de complacer a Dios.
Cuando surgió el cristianismo, le fue difícil de aceptar a los
primeros cristianos, este nuevo concepto era diferente en la relación con Dios
de religiones anteriores en cuanto a la relación con Dios.
Cómo fue el caso de los Gálatas y los judíos cristianos, muchos
tampoco pudieron comprender, les era difícil imaginar al principio que se podía
tener una relación con Dios sin tener que hacer cosas, rituales, sacrificios,
dietas especiales y oraciones especiales para complacerlo y evitar su castigo.
Todavía hay instituciones cristianas que tratan de complacer a Dios
con sacrificios y rituales. Les es difícil al hombre aceptar que el
problema no es tratar de complacer a Dios para que nos quiera, que Dios nos
quiere que lo que hay que hacer es dejarse querer.
Si no quieres dejarte querer, es tu problema, pero aquí está el
problema con las religiones. Las religiones quieren forzar sus conceptos en los
demás. Como son instituciones humanas, el proselitismo es básico para su
supervivencia. Pero nadie puedo obligar a otro a que acepte una creencia,
porque Dios con su bondad le dio libre albedrío al ser humano, y esto hay que
respetarlo.
Este libre albedrío que Dios le dio al ser humano es el que las
religiones quieren quitarle, las religiones quieren ser dioses. El
nazismo, el comunismo, las peores doctrinas humanas, no se pueden comparar en
su conducta criminal a la violencia de una religión como el Islam, y como en el
pasado fueron instituciones a nombre del cristianismo el judaísmo.
Lo peor es que se creen que están complaciendo a Dios que están ayudando
a Dios .
Los infieles son heréticos que hay que destruir, el libre albedrío no
sirve, hay que imponer que crean en el Islam. Esta espada del
Islam es la nueva espada de Damocles que cuelga sobre la cabeza de la humanidad
en el día de hoy, y lo insólito que esta espada está siendo utilizada para el
asesinato en masa a nombre de Dios, más propiamente, a nombre de una religión.

his true character can be seen in a story in Sen. Ted Cruz's new book.

teenage boy who had gotten a chance to visit the court's offices.

Thomas spent two hours talking to the junior high student named Carlos, who, like Thomas, was African American.
Carlos was less impressed with the Supreme Court than he was with Thomas being a Dallas Cowboys fan, Cruz said, including a framed picture he had of himself with quarterback Troy Aikman.
"At the end of two hours, Justice Thomas walked to his desk, and he had on his desk a Super Bowl ticket encased in Lucite that was signed by Emmitt Smith," Cruz said. "He picked it up, he gave it to Carlos. He said, 'Carlos, I'll tell you what. I'm gonna give you this. But I want you to promise me you're gonna get A's in school next year.'"
On his syndicated radio show on Wednesday, Limbaugh played the clip and said the story is indicative of the kind of person Thomas is.
Just like presidential candidate Ben Carson, Thomas is "one of the most decent, finest human beings we have in the country,"

In Defense of Donald Trump
I can’t believe it’s come to this – I’m about to
defend Donald Trump. It’s not that I have anything against Donald Trump, but I
don’t have anything for him either.
Unlike many of my fellow conservatives, I haven’t
completely negated his chances of winning already. Many have written him off as
a clown show in the race only for publicity, or a non-serious person working
some angle for his own benefit. He may well be, but unless and until he shows
that, I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.
That’s not to say I support him, I’m just resisting
the urge to dismiss him until he deserves to be dismissed. That may be tomorrow. Or it may never happen. The same is
true for all of the declared candidates at this point.
None have offered specifics of their vision for the
country, only a 30,000-foot sketch and platitudes. Having interviewed and had private
conversations with several of them, I’ve been impressed and depressed by their
answers. But we’re a half-year away from the first vote being cast, so they
have time to get up to speed and fill in the gaps, or they will lose (and
deserve to).
Trump, on the other hand, has been dismissed by media
and the Republican establishment for his “unartful” language. That, to me, is
his most intriguing characteristic.
I’ve been a fan of his TV show, less so of his
political history. Someone who donated to so many Democrats, and was a
registered one until 2009, has a lot of explaining to do. And while I suspect
it has to do with the cost of doing business, especially in New York, I’m going
to keep my guard up.
But I’m not going to write him off.
The most appealing part of Trump to me is what has the
media and the establishment in a tizzy – his blunt, bordering on crass,
language.
When liberals wet themselves with outrage over Trump’s
announcement comments on immigration, I shrugged. Nothing he said was wrong.
They just didn’t like the way he said it, and they hated that he said it. The
GOP establishment quickly fell in line, panicking over the comments. But note
how they argued semantics, word choices (or omission), more than they did the
substance.
Does the liberal media and Republican establishment
really believe Latin America is experiencing an exodus of its best and
brightest? Are the waves of illegal aliens flooding the southern border Ph.D.s
with venture capital seed money walking into the United States to found their
tech start-up? Or are they low- and no-skilled workers who are barely literate
in their native tongue coming here to be hired by companies willing to break
the law to avoid the added administrative, labor and tax cost of hiring
Americans?
As for the “criminal” aspect of his statement, one
need only conduct an Internet search to find the disturbing truth about that.
You won’t read about it in the New York Times or Washington Post, and it won’t
be covered on the nightly news. But finding cases of illegal immigrants
committing violent crimes are far more common than anything that drives masses
of unshowered activists into the streets.
So it really comes down to these people, the media
leftists and GOP establishment, not liking what Trump says and how he says it.
The left wants future voters dependent on government; the establishment wants
the cheap labor, unburdened by payroll taxes or workman’s comp costs. The
Chamber of Commerce, or as we called it when I worked in the U.S. Senate, the
Chamber of Compromise, couldn’t have scripted it better itself.
Donald Trump is a lot of things, both good and bad,
but one thing he is not is stupid. Yes, he was born into money, but he didn’t
rest on it. He could’ve lived the life of a Hilton or Kardashian, but he chose
not to. He built an empire. And you don’t build an empire without pissing off
some people, especially in New York. So what?
We aren’t electing Miss Congeniality; we’re electing a
president. Trump’s unapologetic embrace of success, and especially capitalism,
is a much-needed trait in America today. The left has been demonizing success,
in business anyway, for decades.
Republicans have fallen into this trap, expressing
concern and offering plans to address “income inequality” rather than telling
people to work their asses off if they want to get ahead, to take risks if they
want rewards, and to deal with the consequences of their actions. Trump does
that.
You don’t see him slouching around in cargo shorts and
faded T-shirts trying to pretend he’ “just like you.” He’s not. He’s worth $9
billion and you aren’t and probably never will be. But you could be.
Trump is a loose cannon, and whether he has the
discipline to learn the issues beyond the 30,000-foot level remains to be seen.
But he has the skills to. It’s foolish to write him off already, and mostly
done from a place of cowardice or discomfort with him being so blunt. For all
their bluster, the GOP establishment has adopted the same position as NBC,
Univision and Macy’s have. Well, GOP establishment, I don’t watch NBC anymore,
never watched Univision and have no use for Macy’s…
I’m not sure where Donald Trump will end up in the
field. He can stick around as long as he wants because he doesn’t need to beg
for money to finance his campaign. But no matter how long he lasts, if he
doesn’t win I do hope his attitude when it comes to dealing with the media and
those who attack him rubs off on whoever eventually wins. If you thought the
media was tough on Republican nominees in the past, you ain’t seen nothing like
what the Clinton machine is ready and willing to do.

The IUD is known as a long acting reversible
contraception, and may even act as an abortifacient. So, a young teen in Seattle can’t get a coke at her high school, but she can have a device implanted into her uterus, which can
unknowingly kill her unborn child immediately after conception. Or, if she uses
another method, she can increase her chances of health risks for herself, especially if using a new method.
The high school, Chief Sealth International, a public
school, began offering the devices in 2010, made possible by a Medicaid program
known as Take Charge and a non-profit, Neighborcare. Students can receive the device or other method free
of cost and without their parent’s insurance. And while it’s lauded that the
contraception is confidential, how can it be beneficial for a parent-child
relationship when the parents don’t even know the devices or medication their
daughter is using?
As it turns out, Chief Sealth isn’t the only school in
Seattle doing this. As CNS News reports, more schools are fitting young girls — as young as
6th grade — with the devices and doing so without their parents knowing.
Middle and high
school students can’t get a Coca-Cola or a candy bar at 13 Seattle public
schools, but they can get a taxpayer-funded intrauterine device (IUD) implanted
without their parents’ consent.
School-based health
clinics in at least 13 Seattle-area public high schools and middle schools
offer long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs), including IUDs and
hormonal implants, to students in sixth-grade and above at no cost, according
to Washington State officials.
LARCs are associated with serious side effects, such as uterine perforation and infection. IUDs, specifically, can also
act as abortifacients by preventing the implantation of a fertilized egg.
The state and federally funded contraceptive services
are made possible by Take Charge, a Washington State
Medicaid program which provides free birth control to adults who are uninsured,
lack contraceptive coverage, have an income at or below 260 percent of the
Federal Poverty Level — or, in this case, to teens who don’t want their parents
to know they’re on birth control.
In an email exchange with the Washington State Health Care
Authority and CNSNews.com, a Take
Charge spokesperson
Take Charge added that “a student who does not want their parents
to know they are seeking reproductive health services is allowed to apply
for Take Charge using
their own income, and if they are insured under their parents’ plan, the
insurance would not be billed.”
When asked if a sixth grader could get an IUD
implanted without parental consent, Take
Charge told CNSNews.com: “We encourage all Take Charge providers
to offer long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs) in their clinics. A
young person does not need parental consent to obtain a LARC or any other
contraceptive method…If the young person is not choosing abstinence, she would
be able to select a LARC and have it inserted without parental consent.”
Parents, if you have
children in these schools, you need to investigate and complain immediately.
And all parents ought to take a look at the health policies of their young
daughters’ schools to find out if a similar program is in place where you live.

The decision was met
with widespread criticism among many Oklahomans, including state officials like
Attorney General Scott Pruitt.
A controversial ruling by the Oklahoma Supreme Court this week has sparked
controversy among those on both sides of a recurring First Amendment issue.
Months after a new Ten Commandments memorial waserected on State Capitol grounds to replace a similar monument
destroyed in an automobile crash, the court determined such a display violates
the state’s constitution.

KWTV reported that,
in a 7-2 decision Tuesday, the court dictated that the monument was
unconstitutional and must be taken down. The decision was met with widespread
criticism among many Oklahomans, including state officials like Attorney
General Scott Pruitt.
In a statement
released shortly after the court’s ruling, he stated bluntly that the majority
“got it wrong.”
Pruitt cited the
historical context of the Ten Commandments as a valid reason to permit such a
monument to be displayed on state property.

“The court completely
ignored the profound historical impact of the Ten Commandments on the
foundation of Western law,” he stated, asserting that the latest decision
contradicted previous constitutional interpretations by the same court.
In response, he
confirmed that his office “will file a petition with the court for a rehearing
in light of the broader implications of this ruling on other areas of the law.”
In the meantime,
Pruitt is asking that enforcement of the court’s order be delayed until a
decision is made regarding the requested rehearing.
Many social media
critics echoed Pruitt’s sentiment regarding the Ten Commandments’ relevance.
